10 Locals Headed to NFL Combine

Eight players from Oregon and Oregon State have been invited to the NFL scouting combine to be held Feb. 20-26 in Indianapolis, Ind.

Beavers: running back Yvenson Bernard, kicker Alexis Serna, offensive lineman Roy Schuening and defensive lineman Dorian Smith.

Ducks: running back Jonathan Stewart, quarterback Dennis Dixon, wide receiver Brian Paysinger and offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz.

Dixon, recovering from knee surgery, is not expected to do much, if any, field work.

Also invited were Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge, out of Glencoe High School in Hillsboro, and Washington State quarterback Alex Brink, out of Sheldon High School in Eugene.
